HP Santa Rosa Laptops

HP plans a processor transplant for two of its Compaq powered AMD notebooks.

Sometime back HP released two Compaq laptops with an AMD powerhouse. Now it plans to have the same two laptops with Intel Santa Rosa powering them. The two laptops I'm talking about are none other than the Compaq 6515b and the 6715b.

These two laptops will sport the same specs as its original AMD counterparts. Both laptops have a WWAN, main difference stands at the screens sizes the 6510b has a 14.1-inch and while the 6710b has a 15.1-inch screen. The processors are 1.8GHz T7100 and 2.4GHz T7700 for the 6510b and the 6710b respectively. Both laptops have Intel GM965 integrated graphics. These laptops will come loaded with either Vista or SuSe Linux. No word yet on pricing or availability.
