Sony's joined the bandwagon and lost weight! With most of the mobile phone brands following the RAZR trend, the slim season seems like its here to stay. Sometime back, Sony Ericsson got their first slider in the Walkman series and now it's the slim handset. So here we have the Sony Ericsson W880i.



The sling of mobile phone releases from Sony Ericsson kicked off with the K550i which we saw earlier. Now it's the W880i, soon to be followed by the W200 and the W610. This year should be quite exciting as we'll get to watch the of mobile phone makers at war. Let's find out how competitive this phone from Sony Ericsson is.

The Sony Ericsson W880i has a very basic bundle. At least the one we received for testing had just the below mentioned.

bought the w880i in june this year. its a lovely phone and has great features.In august it started to hang, with all indicators showing good signal strength and all functions normal.The local service station replaced it after a week.and the new phone worked well for some time, but the same problem appeared again last week, and once again it has gone for replacement.Dont know whether it is a problem with this model or what.

i already bought this tiny device yesterday and am happy to have a james bond device as in latest style.thanks to sony ericsson.i had a 5300 before and i was happy with it but not like w880i.there is nthng that i can compare wit w880i

Beware of buying the grey market products be it mobile phones or memory cards or any other electronic products. Although the prices in grey market are attractive but the stuff they sell is duplicate. Yes you have read right, all the grey market electronic stuff is duplicate. The product is made in unauthorized smaller factories in China and exported to India without labels. Then our great Indian seller thugs get the phones labelled and boxes made and sell to innocent people like you and me. Since I have come to know of this racket, I will tell to everyone. Also this grey market stuff goes bad after sometime and we blame the company for a bad product which they never made in the first place. All these companies have ruined their business by transferring their manufacturing technology in China. Chinese people have replicated everything. So if you are getting a memory card or mobile very cheap without bill, God can only help you with your duplicate goods purchase.

I'd go for the Nokia N73 Me as for a lesser price, I get better camera, better resale value considering it's a Nokia, better features, bigger screen, flash, better memory (2gb), same music output quality using branded earphones or headphones(not the ones provided with the package, they ssuck big time), the feature to control my music from the earphone connector cable itself so no need to remove/open phone anytime you want to change track or album plus a lot of other things. This phone, the only good thing is the slim factor. THAT'S IT! Don't buy unless your really crazy behind slim phones and you don't mind spending a few extra thousands.

Dear Reviewer the term "The 2 MP camera doesn't work wonders like the non autofocus camera of the W700/W850, but it's not as bad as the one seen bundled with the K550i " is not understood man !! K-550i- which i purchased recently - has an excellend 2 MP cam WITH AUTOFOCUS. In fact SE 2 MP cam with autofocus is a standard which no other manufacturer has achieved, Boss K-550i Cam is NOT BAD!-- IT IS BETTER THAN THAT- IT IS GOOD !
