PayMate has introduced a new value add dubbed 'FlyBuySms', wherein customers can buy domestic airline tickets on their mobile phones, irrespective of service operator.

The way the new service works is:
Search by means of SMS FLY to 667711 example: FLY Mumbai Delhi 19 Mar.
On receipt of an SMS detailing flight options with departure times and cheapest available fares, book by replying to the SMS with preferred flight option and passenger name.
Pay by means of SMS along with PayMate users' PayMate PIN. An instant PNR is received. Non PayMate users can choose from a range of payment options available over a call with a customer service executive.

"With FlyBuySms, customers no longer have to log on to a website or depend on their travel agent to do the ticketing. They have all options available on their mobile screen with a simple SMS. In fact, even being able to pay securely via SMS makes this an end-to-end solution, whereby customers can not only search and book, but actually buy tickets on the go," Ajay Adiseshann, Managing Director and Founder, PayMate, said.

PayMate has partnered with Travelmartindia for ticketing fulfillment, and plans to introduce options for airline specific or time-band specific search in the next phase of development.

Currently, PayMate is offered to Citiband credit card and banking customers. The company intends to soon extend service to other leading banks.

PayMate is accepted at over 3,000 merchants, including online portals, voice portals, utilities, multiplexes, restaurants and retailers, and offers a secure payment solution as no credit/debit card information is ever disclosed during transactions.
