We at Techtree have used a lot of digicams and no matter what functions and features are packed into it, we always find Kodak cams to be the easiest to use. They've added another feather in their cap with the launch of the latest C-series high-end model, the C875.

The Camera

Though not the smallest in its league, the Kodak C875 appears quite small and the metallic finish of the body makes it look endearing. Although the C875 is made of polycarbonate with a touch of chrome on the buttons, the metallic accents impart a lavish feel to it.

The cam sports a 1/1.8 inch CCD that captures a total of 8.3 MP (3350 x 2483) pixels and an effective of 8.0 MP (3273 x 2457) pixels. The lens is a Schneider 5X optical zoom, 37-185 mm (35 mm equiv.) f/2.8-4.4, 12-step aperture. The cam offers a 5X continuous digital zoom with LCD preview in 0.2X increments.

Measuring 91 x 63 x 37 mm and weighing 177 grams (without batteries) the C875 is petite and lightweight; but it carries enough weight to help you keep a steady hand when using the 5x end of the zoom.
