Creative has been trying to get the upper hand on Apple ever since the IPod took over the market, but have not exactly looked like the formidable opponent they think they are. Here's another creation, the Creative Zen V Plus that is said to be an IPod Nano's competition (they're still trying I guess.)
Let's see if it lives up to the hype by taking a look at what it has to offer.

The contents of the package are:
* Creative ZEN V Plus
* Earphones
* Drawstring Pouch
* Lanyard
* USB 2.0 cable
* Line-in cable
* Neck Strap
* Installation CD including User Manual
* Quick Start Guide
Coming in sizes 1GB/ 2GB/ 4GB/ 8GB, in a variety of colors, the Zen V Plus is surely an eye-catcher. It's a flashy 43.5 x 67.5 x 15.9mm player weighing about 43.5g. Also, after a fully charging it, the battery life is up to 15 hours for continuous audio playback.
When I first glanced at it, it came across as toy - because of its size. The color display was beautiful, in spite of having a 1.5" 128 x 128 pixels OLED display. To be honest, it took sometime to figure out how everything worked, but once you know it, it's a cinch. The controls are also conveniently placed; Volume Control and Record to the right, Lock and Power to the left, and Navigation joystick at the center, alongwith Play/Pause and Options.

Height of customization is an understatement. You can change what is displayed on the "Now Playing" screen as well as the main menu using certain settings. You can add or remove an option that you want to be or not be included in the main menu as well.
