BenQ has announced an affordable home entertainment solution with its newly launched MP510 projector. The projector is expected to give a new meaning to gaming and movie watching for home users.
Commenting on the product, Ish Bawa, Marcom Head, BenQ India, said, "This is an ideal portable home solution for big screen enjoyment, it has a dual tone finish externally, and can fit any lifestyle living room perfectly. With lifestyle gaming becoming more popular with products like X-box and PS3, the sports crazy enthusiast would be rushing to the nearest sports bar during the upcoming cricket world cup to watch their favorite players perform in life-size pictures; also the increased number of lifestyle multiplexes have further added to the need to bring home the experience of big screen movie watching. Compared to yester year cinemas, this is premier lifestyle film viewing with a much better experience. The automatic wall color adjustment feature that adjusts according to the background is very helpful."
The stylishly designed dual tone MP510 looks good and is made to suit your living room, and at a low 22dB noise levels, the MP510 is one of the quietest projector in the market. Pleasing picture quality built for solid performance with a 1500 lumen lamp and 2000 : 1 contrast ratio, the MP510 adds wall color correction so that the audience can enjoy picture quality that's easy on the eyes even when a projector screen is not available.
The MP510 gives you advanced features like auto-off, seven picture modes, and a presentation timer. According to BenQ sources, with controls being easy to bring up and dismiss, the focus can be maintained on enjoying the movie, game, or delivering the presentation on hand.
Commenting on BenQ's performance, Bawa said, "2006 has been a year of achievements for us, and most significantly in the Indian market, it has been great with LCD monitors - with the launch of the fastest response monitors. Four IT zones have been opened last year which have received commendable interest and feedback from both end users and the channel community. This year we intend to concentrate on three product categories such as LCD-TV, Digital cameras, and Notebooks in India."
The MP510 projector is now available in the Indian market at an MRP of Rs 42,500 plus VAT (Value Added Tax).
A price tag of 42,500 isnt really what I would say ideal for Home Users. Something around Rs. 20,000 might have been ideal I guess. But thats my personal view.
Dude, we are talking about DLP projectors here. Even a decent 5.1 home theatre costs as much as 20K these days. I think this must be one of the cheapest projectors available in market.
I Agree. The difference not only for projetors and also for many products.......
Is there any indian company made projector?
For home use projector price should be available from 5k-20K. Who make the difference wait and see for the dream price? If it comes to low price then it reach large no of consumer. But there may be some reason many of the electronic items came very less price say Good CTV from 5K, but projector not at all came to the low price. Any body would like to share the reason u are most welcome.
The very fact that it is double the price is a rip off when considering the plight of indian consumers. Now, where are the indian competitors who can match the technology savvy and innovative abilities of the other country companies???
