Blizzard Entertainment has announced that 'The Burning Crusade' pack, the first expansion for 'World of Warcraft' (WoW), can now be downloaded.
'The Burning Crusade' is now available legally from the official WoW-Europe.com or WorldOfWarcraft.com Web site.
The company said that gamers could also purchase upgrade keys, and download the game client using the account management section of www.worldofwarcraft.com.
According to Blizzard, in order to download 'The Burning Crusade' upgrade pack, users must log in to their account, click the download button, and then enter their credit card details. The users can download it for either PC or Mac, in English, German, Spanish, or French.
Blizzard also said that the direct online upgrade method is the most convenient way to upgrade to 'The Burning Crusade', and join millions of players who are already adventuring beyond the Dark Portal.
Besides, users can get access to not only 'The Burning Crusade' installer, but also the WoW installer. Meanwhile, the upgrade is available for existing WoW players, and costs $39.99 (Rs 1,763 approx).
In another move, Blizzard has also announced that they are releasing the game in Mainland China, for which they are collaborating with The9 Limited, a leading online game operator in China.
The new agreement between Blizzard and The9 includes provisions for hardware upgrades to the existing WoW infrastructure to enable the best gaming experience possible for players in China. The9 would also manage distribution of game cards, and the physical hosting of WoW and 'The Burning Crusade' on local servers.
