Logitech S 510 Cordless Keyboard

The Logitech S 510 cordless keyboard has a very sleek design and is quite flat. It uses a standard keyboard layout, but has media related keys to the left and normal keys on the right. The board features all the extra keys you would expect, such as Play/Forward/Rewind, increase/decrease volume, and even Zoom keys for your pictures.

At first look, I didn't think that the keyboard looked very comfortable due to the flat design. On first usage, I was making mistakes while typing, due to the different feel of the keys which are very springy and tactile. My opinion quickly changed after a few days of use though. To put it simple, this keyboard is extremely comfortable and would be perfect to use on a daily basis.

It requires two AAA batteries to operate. Another cool feature of this motherboard is the implementation of function mode, similar to laptops. Usually in laptop, pressing the function key enables certain keys to have secondary function. In this case, pressing the function key enables it till it's pressed again to disable it. The F Keys have secondary functions such as opening Word, Excel File, checking battery life, and so on. The software indicates the status of keyboard by huge green letters on the screen.

The only downside is the different implementation of few keys such as ones shown in the image below.

This is, no doubt, the best multimedia keyboard I have ever tested. Now, we move to check out the cordless mouse.

Do not buy this keyboard if you are using it for the lounge room, the range just sucks big time. Also look at this remote www.soundgraph.com. I brought two, one for the MPC for the lounge room with LCD and one for the PC in the bedroom without the LCD. ITs the Imon one not the 2.4 GHZ one which has probs. This is the best ionvestment I made...

if u r using a HTPC , u would have a TV Tuner installed and the tuner is supplied with a remote and media centre software , so whats the use of buying a pricy desktop just for show! Buy a good wireless mouse if u r a couch potato. It would definately cost u less!

HTPC is a PC configured to act as a home theater - with TV tuner cards and 5.1 audio kind of things.
