Just two weeks ago, we had configured a low-end HTPC. Though, we had included a very expensive input device, the Logitech Cordless Desktop S510 Media Remote in it. Today, let's take a look at why we included this particular device in the HTPC configuration.

The Logitech Cordless Desktop S510 Media Remote is a set of three input devices i.e. Keyboard, Mouse, and a remote. All of them are cordless and are perfectly suited for keeping it in a living room. The Logitech Cordless Desktop S510 comes in two versions; with and without media remote. But the difference between the two is just few hundred rupees.

Bundle

Do not buy this keyboard if you are using it for the lounge room, the range just sucks big time. Also look at this remote www.soundgraph.com. I brought two, one for the MPC for the lounge room with LCD and one for the PC in the bedroom without the LCD. ITs the Imon one not the 2.4 GHZ one which has probs. This is the best ionvestment I made...

if u r using a HTPC , u would have a TV Tuner installed and the tuner is supplied with a remote and media centre software , so whats the use of buying a pricy desktop just for show! Buy a good wireless mouse if u r a couch potato. It would definately cost u less!

HTPC is a PC configured to act as a home theater - with TV tuner cards and 5.1 audio kind of things.
