Acer India has announced the launch of their new toll-free customer service number, 1 800 11 6677 for notebooks in India.
Acer, which already provides toll-free customer support for Acer consumer desktops, will extend this service to notebooks through an Automatic Call Dispatch (ACD) system with Integrated Voice response (IVR). Calls will be routed to Acer-certified agents, trained specifically on the product category. The cases that cannot be resolved over the phone, will be assigned and dispatched to the nearest Acer Customer Service Centre along with a case history.
Partnering with RT Outsourcing Services Limited, a Delhi-based organization, Acer has initiated this complete service package to empower their notebook customers with effective tele-support and onsite service.
Sudipto Ghosh, General Manager of Customer Support, Acer India, said, "We received over 50 customer calls on the very first day, and that was really encouraging. The overwhelming response has given us the confidence that this move will help strengthen our support network, and help integrate the various support functions. Our integrated system helps connect the call centre to channel partners, service centers, and it also allows us to move from a reactive to a more proactive approach towards customer care. It's making Acer more approachable to our customers."
This service promises to also provide onsite support through 66 Acer Customer Service Centers (ACSC) in India. Currently, Acer supports their partners though their Acer service provider network (ASPs) in over 175 cities, with 22 spare parts warehouse locations, and 53 spares replacement centers.
Any one please help ! iam trying to reach the all india service manager for ACER because despite regisrtering on site for my NEW ALL IN ONE Z3731and getting a wlcome message etc ...the system is NOT working and Acer tells me ther is NO INTERNATIONAL warranty .
This is after ACER has done the product registration !!HELP
Please improve the after sales service of ACER if you want customer to not feel frustrated after buying ACAER as my ACER laptop developed technical snag (within 2 years of buying same)after which sales at Pune did took long time longer than a month to replace motherboard and now again after a week the same is not working on contacting ACER they showed negligent attitude and are not doing the correction even after waiting more than a month,They say that the new mother board to be replaced is not available as again the same has problem.Even the customer care people show indifferent and callous attitude to customer.ACER is worst as far as afer sales servicing is concerned.I need to draw attention of Customer care of ACER to resolve the problem if they want to solve my problem.I as well as my friends do not in future intend to buy ACER if this is the attitude of ACER aftersales people.
I feel service support of ACER needs to improve as it is now very frustrating and painful for customer.
My laptop had problem just after 1 and 1/2 yr after purchase.When i gave it for servicing the diagosis took unnecessary delay then I was told mother board is faulty and needs to be replaced it took more than a month for the same and after that the laptop developed within a week after repair again I had to give for repair at Pune there the service center told me they will call and let me know the problem and its solution I called as no call came from ACER but each time I called I got reply that the concerned man is not available.
This is ridiculous and shows apathetic customer care of ACER.I promise never to go for a ACER computer or laptop again in my life.
Hope Sudipto Ghosh does something to improve the lot of ACER user.

I have a Acer Aspire notebook which crashed after flashing the bios with new bios found at Acer site.I had the Note book inspectd by Ashtech Infotech Mumbai, they said motherboard has to be changed and they dont have the part and it will cost approximately Rs.12000/-
Any help in repairing this laptop will be much appreciated

I bought an acer desktop from Oxygen, Pulimoottil Arcade, K.K.Road, Kottayam on Dec 11, 2008. Its speakers stopped functioning two weeks back. After repeated calls a service person from Ozone care P.P.George Memorial Buildings, YMCA Lane, Kottayam took way the speakers on Fe 24. So far they haven't been replaced. Could you instructor your dealer to send me a replacement at the earliest? The casual manner in which the consumer needs are attended will only serve to lower the consumer confidence in in acer products.
