Last year Canon added two more commanders in its army of cameras with the introduction of the A630 and A640. While they still include many of the same options as found in their predecessors, the resolution has been increased along with many other new and exciting features.
We have for review the Powershot A630 that claims to combine a user-friendly design with advanced functionality that will appeal equally to novices and serious photo enthusiasts. Let's see how good it really is.
The Camera
The Powershot A630 features a 2.5-inch vari-angle LCD screens, 4x optical zoom, Digic II processor, and an 8.0 megapixel CCD. It also has a maximum ISO 800 sensitivity setting and a 'Safety Zoom' feature.

It measures 109.4 x 66 x 49.1 mm and weighs around 245 grams. Obviously not a pocket camera this one, but surely it will fit comfortably in one of those cute little cases that we can always carry.
