Time and again, I have been accosted by people acquainted to me seeking my help to assist them choose a 'good' digital camera that suits (rather fits) their 'budget.' It is the universal truth that everybody wants more for less (at least as less as possible). Keeping this in mind, we reviewed the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S500 that promises a lot of features and great quality with minimal pricing.
The Camera
An entry level camera from Sony, the DSC-S500 garbs a boxy outer shell measuring 92x62x31 mm and weighs 186 grams.

The layout is simple and basic with the mode dial on the top along with the power button and zoom, navigation, delete, and menu buttons at the back of the camera while the A/V and USB ports are placed at the bottom left. A neat and uncluttered design; perfect for a first-timer.
