Netgear has launched the Netgear Wi-Fi phone (SPH101) for Skype users in India.
The company says that the SPH101 Wi-Fi phone is the first publicly announced device certified to make Skype Wi-Fi Internet calling a reality for the more than 113 million registered Skype users making unlimited free domestic and international calls to other Skype users over a wireless network without being tied to a computer.
It is also learnt that this Wi-Fi phone will work anywhere in the world. A user is just required to have access to a Wi-Fi network in any home, office, public hotspot, or municipal wireless access point that does not require browser-based authentication.
