What would you expect from a game that blends guns, flying, driving and guerilla warfare; a lot of action that's for sure. Well, that's what "Just Cause" is all about. The game developed by Avalanche Studios is an over the top (literally) 3rd person shooter that will keep you hooked for hours, 'just coz' it's a good game. Read on for my experience of the same on the Xbox 360.

Yet Another Cuban Dictator
Well, not exactly a Cuban dictator, but somewhat similar. The story takes place on a fictional South American tropical island called "San Esperito". This island is under the control of a dictator and the CIA hires our daredevil agent, Rico Rodriguez. Rico is greatly inspired from Antonio Bandera's character "El Mariachi" or "Desperado", with a liking for ladies like our dear old Mr. Bond and gadgets like Ethan Hunt. He's a mix of many heroes in one, but in the end just a cheap imitation. The developers could have spent some more time to develop an original character. He's not that bad either; he has a few tricks of his own, which include defying gravity more than Spiderman himself.

The story is very straightforward, great big island under dictatorship, with a lot of internal gangs looking for control over the island. Along comes a young skilled American, fires a few thousand rounds from his smg's and the problem is solved. Well it does justice to the gameplay, so you will enjoy it even if it's a little ordinary.
