Samsung has launched color laser printers, including the CLP-300, which the company says is the smallest color laser printer in its class.
With dimensions around 15.4-inch x 13.5-inch x 10.4-inch and weight about 30 pounds, the CLP-300 is designed to offer high quality output quickly and affordably.
Large cartridges are replaced by small toner bottles in the CLP-300, which explains the small foot print. With print speeds of up to 16 ppm (pages per minute) in black and white and 4 ppm in color, the new printer sports a high speed USB 2.0 interface, and is compatible with Windows, Macintosh, and Linux.
Along with the CLP-300, Samsung has launched four feature-rich network laser printers; namely the ML-2571N, the ML-3051ND, the ML-4551N, and the CLP-600N.
Samsung, with an 18 percent share in the domestic printer market, is looking at increasing its share to almost 25 percent. Speaking at the launch of the new printers, Sanjay Sharma, vice president - IT business, Samsung India, said, "We are looking at LCD monitors and laser printers as the major growth drivers for our IT business this year."
The CLP-300 is immediately available for around Rs 15,990.
