Pure Digital Technologies has introduced its "Point and Shoot Video Camcorder" with built-in software helping users connect directly to video sharing Web sites.

The company said this simple, pocket-sized device integrates with Google Video and Grouper Networks to deliver true end-to-end solutions for capturing and sharing home videos.

With this camcorder, consumers can shoot video and then share it on Internet sharing sites in just three steps. Firstly, shoot video with the touch of a button; plug the camcorder s built-in USB arm into a PC or Mac; and then upload video directly to sharing Web sites Google Video or Grouper Networks via on-board software.
The software also includes other convenient sharing options, such as one-step emailing, video greeting cards for a variety of special occasions, and custom-edited movie mixes.

In a statement, Jonathan Kaplan, chief executive officer, Pure Digital Technologies, said, "The Point and Shoot Camcorder is an easy and affordable way to capture and share high-quality home video. Now, everyone can get in on the video-sharing craze, from parents who only want to share videos privately with friends and family, to young people eager to make their creations available to millions."

Adding to it, Hunter Walk, business product manager, Google Video, said, "Devices like this new simple camcorder make it possible to upload video directly to Google Video, and will fuel the sharing of great video moments."

Josh Felser, president, Grouper Networks, added, "Integrating Grouper's video sharing service inside these camcorders is a groundbreaking step in bringing video sharing to the mass market. This opens up a whole new world for friends and family to share memories."

Other prominent features of the camcorder include 2x digital zoom; 1.4-inch color playback screen; instant playback, review and delete features; and the ability to view home movies instantly on TV or PC.

The new Point and Shoot Video Camcorder will be available from the first week of November at $129.99 (Rs 5,980 approx) for the 30-minute model (that can capture video for 30minutes) and $169.00 (Rs 7,774 approx.) for the 60-minute model.

Streach your budget and go for regular digicam instead of this kind of junk.
