Good screen, 2 ms response time, Excellent color reproduction, Sharp display, Good brightness and contrast.

Let me start with a simple yet tricky question, what do you do when your products are all near-perfect in their category? The answer is very simple, you make some more and more. And that's exactly what Viewsonic has done with the VX922 19-inch LCD monitor; as they claim it to be a worthy successor to ViewSonic VX912 and yet another good addition to their 19" lineup along side the ViewSonic VA1912W.

The Monitor

The Viewsonic VX922 measures 431mm x 370mm x 66mm (without stand) and sports a two-color paint job that I like to call the 'Viewsonic Look.' This black (and silver) beauty is pretty slim (reminds me of all the articles I read about being anorexic) and would surely give any ramp model a run for her money. The pics below will sure do the needful.

I BROUGHT viewsonic VX922 for Rs 16500 from nehru place only so check prices. Also if anyone is planning to go for a good TFT then go for this one it is really amazing i researched a lot and find this one as best for this range of price

This monitorVX922 is all & good- quick response time and nice colour balance- but Viewsonic forgot one element of the troika of success- price-price-price. In US they market this for $ 254 Shipped Retail at Amazon. (Rs.11600) And we Indian get special treatment of paying through our noses- 163% of the US retail cost. Man this is daylight Rape. While LCD monitor prices have come down (I was able to get a Samsung 740N for 10.7k) but it is only because of crash of LCD monitor rates in world market- One routinely sees 19 inch LCD on sale in US from $ 100 to 160. But in India of course the Companies, the distributor & dealer connive to loot us computer consumers. Some action on various public forums is urgently required to stop this excess charging.

Thanks John you said it right, Hope viewsonic can keep the speakers on in power save mode so we can still hear some Music & yet save on the power. But what about us, if & when they incorporate just wont we be left out dispite good input from us. Regards.

VA1912W has in built dual high quality speakers, only problem being the speaker?s only work when the monitor is kept on...So you still needs external speakers when you just need to hear some music. (Hope Viewsonic is listening). When I bought the same about 2 months back at 17250 but they bundled a decent webcam with the same, now at 15k is better. The product is great, but still too expensive for us Indian compared to the cost in the USA (:(

Hi Pradip Shah, dont jump without understanding the problem. Ofcourse, he didnt explain it right. This is the case when you listen to music from your computer not connecting MP3 player. I too have the same monitor VA1912Wb the problem is if you have power save mode enabled, when the monitor goes off the speaker goes off too. So the power save time out is all the time you have to listen or you have to disable the powersave mode.
