Intex Technologies India has reportedly launched three notebooks; the Challenger 012CD, the Performer 030CD, and the Achiever 026GD.
Intex Technologies India has reportedly launched three notebooks; the Challenger 012CD, the Performer 030CD, and the Achiever 026GD. With this move, the company intends to introduce more feature-rich, compact, and technologically advanced models to its existing notebooks portfolio.
Speaking at the launch, Sanjay Kumar, product manager - PC, Intex Technologies India, said that Intex's notebook expansion is aimed at carving-out a substantial share in the booming notebook segment, and that the company is optimistic about the performance of their new notebooks.
Weighing around 1.9 kg, the Challenger 012CD is targeted at frequent travelers and senior managers. With a 12-inch TFT display screen, the compact notebook features Intel Pentium IV mobile CPU 1.6 GHZ, 533 fsb and 1 mb cache with Intel 915 gm chipset; 512 MB DDR-2 memory; 80 GB hard drive; Intel Graphic engine and wireless card; and inbuilt 4-in-1 card reader.
The notebook packs a PCMCIA SLOT and Kensington lock, and is available for a street price of around Rs 44,000.
The Performer 030CD is also based on Intel Centrino technology, and is meant for the SOHO and SME segment.
All of 2.5kg of weight, this new notebook features a 15-inch display screen, 256 MB ddr-2 RAM, 40 GB hard drive, DVD combo, inbuilt Intel wireless card, Intel 915 chipset, graphic engine, 3D stereo enhanced system with 5.1 channel output, inbuilt 4 in 1 card reader, type II PCMCIA slot, and 14 I/O ports for different peripherals.
The notebook is shipping for about Rs 35,000 (street price.)
The third new model - the Achiever 026GD, is a 15-inch model supported by the Intel Celeron M processor. The Achiever 026GD features 256 MB memory, 40 GB hard drive, DVD Combo, high definition audio interface sound system, ethernet card on board, and embedded 4-in-1 card reader.
Aimed at fulfilling basic computing needs of students, educational institutes, and other customers in the 'price sensitive' segment, this notebook carries a street price of approximately Rs 29,000.

first improve your quality on kbds/ mice, speaker, cabinet then think for laptop;-)
Intex is again seeming to play- dump the old stuff on indians-game, using old Centrino & celM processors with old chipsets- gentlemen Core2duo is available for notebooks. If U must-At least U can give the last generation coreduo & coresolo processor notebooks.
totally agree... as a matter of fact, I was searching for a core 2 duo notebook available in India, there were none...!! Core Duo is available with HP and Dell India. None of the others supply it...
actually the core2duo laptop processors must be in short supply- even in USA very few manufacturers are actualy shipping core2duo notebooks immediatly- wait a fortnight- the situation will improve even in back waters that is India.
