SolidWorks Corp has announced availability of SolidWorks Student Edition 2006-2007 software in the country, which is specially configured and packaged for today's engineering and industrial design students.
According to company sources, with this software, students can quickly learn 3D CAD and hone their skills, rather than spending time learning complex software. The software promises unmatched ease-of-use, power, and innovations to help students master the fundamentals of engineering design, and prepare them for rewarding and lucrative careers.
Incidentally, participants in this year's "Passion for Design - SolidWorks Design Contest" have been given a copy each of SolidWorks Student Edition software, so as to enable them participate in the contest, and design products in the area of energy development, life enhancement, and handicap assistance.
The SolidWorks Student Edition 2006-2007 includes, SolidWorks 3D CAD software, SolidWorks Animator: (to create compelling AVI files from SolidWorks parts and assemblies), SolidWorks Toolbox: (to automate assembly tasks with a library of standard parts), PhotoWorks: (to create photo-realistic images of SolidWorks models, eDrawings design communication software), COSMOSXpress: (to analyze and verify SolidWorks models, complete online documentation, and 'Introducing SolidWorks' tutorial), DWGeditor: (to edit and create native DWG files), and Installation options for several languages: (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Chinese - simplified, Chinese - traditional, Korean, Polish, and Czech, 12 month term-of-use license).
In addition, students will receive COSMOSWork finite element analysis software, COSMOSMotion kinematics and motion analysis software, and COSMOSFloWorks computational fluid dynamics and thermal analysis software.
SolidWorks is working with CADD Centre, the largest CAD training institution in the country, to make the new software available to students through its extensive network of training centers at a highly affordable price.
