Nokia 6131 has been in the market for quite some time now. It was launched a couple of months back. This model provides all necessary features to the consumer, but the features offered score lower than its contemporaries that are slightly high priced. This is the result of Nokia and the other mobile phone manufacturers flooding the market with one-after-another mobiles. It has made every range very congested and the consumer keeps finding himself rather confused to take a decision as regards to budget and features.

Build and Design
The Nokia 6131 is basically a flap phone or better known as clamshell. It has a very good build quality with lovely finishing. The phone has a mixture of finishes all over it; in the front it has a matt finish and on the back has a rugged finish. This phone has style, but at the same time makes you feel Nokia was testing body-finishes with this phone. On the internal side, the keypad is bordered with chrome. The keypad is very comfortable with numbers well-spaced-out. The keypad is well-lit and doesn't pose a problem even with poor or no lighting. The phone has a button to automatically open the flap; it makes for a good style statement. The phone, when closed sports the dimensions 92 x 48 x 20 mm and weighs just 102 grams. It is light and fits well in your palm as well as slides into your pocket without hassle. It has a great external color display. It is a 256K color display and can display images with high quality. The internal display of the phone is large; it's mostly the plus point of a clamshell. The display is a high quality 16 M color TFT display. Its contrast is good and can be easily read in both bad lighting and under sunlight. With regards to built, the pop-port of the phone was neatly covered with hard plastic. At the end of the phone towards the right, the speaker is placed which is surprisingly loud. The speaker of the phone is also neatly protected with a metal net.
