Kingston Technology has upgraded its "Ultimate" line of CompactFlash memory cards, by preloading the cards with Ontrack's latest data recovery software.
Kingston Technology has announced upgrading of its "Ultimate" line of CompactFlash memory cards, by preloading the cards with Ontrack's EasyRecovery Professional software version 6.1.
The Ultimate line of CompactFlash cards is targeted at professionals as also advanced amateur photographers. Whereas, EasyRecovery Professional version 6.1 is the latest data recovery software from Ontrack, and is designed to retrieve photos that have been corrupted or accidentally deleted. The software is generally equipped to offer greater image protection, along with a complete, easy-to-use interface.
Kingston has also announced that it will increase the sustained write speed of its 2GB/4GB Ultimate CompactFlash cards from 100x to 133x, and will add a new 8GB capacity card with write speed of 133x to the existing line.
The write speed of a CompactFlash card, along with the speed of the camera, determines how quickly photos can be stored on the CompactFlash card. According to Kingston, its 2GB/4GB/8GB Ultimate CompactFlash cards (133x) can write images even as they are being captured by the camera, thus facilitating a seamless flow of imaging information from camera to memory card, in turn maximizing overall speed and functionality of the digital camera system.
Further, Kingston says that its 8GB Ultimate CompactFlash card, used in conjunction with matching high-performance digital cameras, will offer read speeds of up to 23 MB/sec, and write speeds of up to 20 MB/sec.
Kingston says the Ultimate CompactFlash memory cards that are compatible with PC Card Type II adapters, are 100-percent tested.
The upgraded Ultimate line is immediately available with company distributors. The cards come along with a lifetime hardware warranty plus free technical support.
