With respect to Audio and Video codecs, the GOM player allows you to use your own pre-installed codecs or it's own internal codecs to handle A/V output. As I mentioned earlier, in case the player does not have any codecs, it takes you to an Open Source site to download the missing codecs. One can also choose any speaker setup from the regular two channel stereo, 4 channel, 5.1 channel, or an S/PDIF output.


Other settings allow you to choose file associations, subtitle fonts and sizes, and player thread priority. After going through these options, the player window opens to show a classy looking media player with an uncluttered interface.
