    Acer India has announced the launch of the Acer Power 330 series PC, based on Intel's Pentium 4 Processor with hyper-threading technology.

Acer India has announced the launch of the Acer Power 330 series PC, based on Intel's latest Pentium 4 Processor with hyper-threading technology. The PC is equipped with the Pentium 4 Processor with hyper-threading technology (3.06 Ghz, EM64T, 1 MB L2 cache, 533 Mhz FSB), which makes for increased power and excellent performance.

With system memory of 128 MB DDR RAM, upgradeable to 2 GB; and storage capacity of 40 GB HDD Hard Drive at 5400 RPM; the Acer Power 330 has a 10/100 Network Integrated Card (NIC); 52 X CD ROM; PS/2 Acer Black 104 Keys Keyboard; Black PS/2 Optical Mouse; multiple ports; 15-inch CRT Black Monitor; and on board sound and graphics.

According to company sources, using the Linux Operating system, the Power 330, apart from having the latest Intel 64-bit hyper threading technology for power-packed performance, has Lifetime Anti Virus from E Trust.

Speaking at the launch, Harish Kohli, general manager - sales and marketing, Networking and PC Client Division, Acer India, said, "With the Acer Power 330, we have broken all margins without compromising on features, a first in the industry. Now everyone can own a Desktop powered by an Intel P4 processor. We are also offering Lifetime Antivirus with all our Acer Power 330 machines."

"With the addition of the latest Intel 64-bit technology with hyper-threading to boost performance of the machine, the Acer Power 330 is the ultimate low cost PC," Kohli said.

The company says the product's USP is its pricing at Rs 17,999, along with a one-year onsite warranty.

there's absolutely no use in buying a 64 bit CPU right now.there are few applications that are actually 64 bit.

TT, this news should have come out with a statement from you telling all just how up-to-date (!) Acer's "latest" technology is . Acer India must really believe that India is still living in the 20th century!!

Mister Harish Kohli of LG, i think U should have look at ure product spec befor U put in market- perhaps fools with little knowledge of PC will buy this comp. I think LG not serious about comp market.

Acer is just trying to fleece unknowing customers . Anyway they are known for underhand methods. and their service is worst of the lot !!!

Because this is acer brand, so they can give U only 128 MB RAM ? which will needlessly occupy a precious memory slot & has to be thrown away to put required min 512 MB-what to do with this comp & then this has CD Drive ,ha-ha!i thought CD drive was gone & dead, no wonder these do not sell much i think Acer india is only joking & is not aware of indian computer market- for this price one can get P-4-512-combo drive-80GB-7200RPM-15inch monitor.
