The DMC series was a PS2 exclusive, till its arrival on the PC with their latest offering.

Excellent hack and slash action, Good storyline, Brilliant combat system, A good extension to the original, Vergil adds replay value.

Pathetic controls, Intimidating for first timers.

There lies a devil in each one of us, wanting to unleash himself on the World outside. Many silence the devil within, while many succumb to the evil. But only one man has made a career out of it, the devil hunter, Dante. Many of you may have heard of this gun slinging, sword lashing, half man, half devil, star of the "Devil May Cry" franchise. The DMC series was a PS2 exclusive, till its arrival on the PC with their latest offering.

Devil Reincarnated

Dante has found a new platform to hack and slash, arriving on PC with Sword, Pistols, Style, and a devilish attitude. For those who may not know about Dante, he is the son of a legendary devil called Sparda. Born with demonic blood, he is invulnerable to most mortal weapons. Dante may be a devil, who hunts other devils for a living, but he does that with a style. The DMC series is renowned for its very fast paced and stylish gameplay. The series is amongst the top selling on the PS2, I am here to tell you if its arrival on the PC is worth rejoicing.

This is not the first console game that has arrived on PC; there have been others as well. One prominent issue with all these games has been the controls. Specially, for a game like DMC, wherein executing one good combo may require you to wage a war on your own fingers. I was reminded of Edward Scissorhands while controlling Dante; remember how Edward struggled to finish dinner (if you haven't just, ignore the comparison). It takes quite some time to get used to the controls, but after that its hack and slash at its very best. This game is an extension to the "DMC 3: Dante's Awakening", in this special edition you can play the part of Vergil. DMC 3 revolved around Dante and his Brother Vergil's fight for supremacy. In the original you complete the game with Dante, in this Special edition you can play as Vergil also.
