Actis, Schneider to Automate Homes

"Imagine a home that turns lights on and off automatically, waters the
garden, gets the best out of home theatre systems, and looks after itself while you are away. It's all possible with home automation. In addition, users remain in complete control even when traveling, using the Internet, or a mobile phone," says Abhimanyu Gupta, director, Actis Technologies, the country's leading audio visual and environment control solutions provider.
Actis Technologies has tied-up with Schneider Electric that has a presence in around 130 countries. Together, they are launching Clipsal's C-Bus System, an intelligent home and office lighting control solution. Clipsal, which is a part of Schneider Electric, is Australia's number one brand for electrical accessories.
An interesting concept, the Clipsal C-Bus System, is targeting being the preferred control solution for homes, hotels, and offices, by providing customers with some of the world's most advanced, user-friendly, and exciting range of home automation solutions. The system promises to convert any premise into a "smart premise".
Speaking on the tie-up, Gupta said, "We believe in harnessing global trends in the audio visual arena, and customizing them to the needs of the Indian consumer. Clipsal provides comprehensive and cost- effective lighting solutions. Clipsal is part of the multi-billion dollar Schneider Electric group, which has been in India for more than a decade, and has its own manufacturing and support facilities in the country. We are extremely pleased at this partnership, as this gives us the opportunity to deliver to our users, the best in the illumination industry."
According to company sources, the new system is convenient and safe, and can be installed in stages throughout the home. Customers can also change and add-on accessories to the system, anytime during the process.
