    Dell has globally launched three new XPS high-performance systems; the XPS M2010, the XPS M1210, and the 2407WFP.

Dell has globally launched three new XPS high-performance systems; the XPS M2010, the XPS M1210, and the 2407WFP that according to the company are meant for both the home entertainment and the gaming space.

The XPS M2010, a 20-inch wide-screen entertainment PC, sports a unique design and multimedia features including high-definition wide-screen monitor; eight speakers and subwoofer; detachable, Bluetooth wireless keyboard and gyroscope-enabled remote; plus Web cam and slot-load DVD drive. The articulating hinges; supporting the display, double as a system-handle when it is closed, making it truly portable. The XPS M2010 is available world-wide with prices starting at $3,500.

The XPS M1210, an ultra-mobile, light-weight notebook PC, has a durable magnesium-alloy frame making it Road Ready. The notebook has powerful dual-core processors and optional discrete graphics in a 12.1-inch wide-screen body that allows users to play games and enjoy multimedia content. The XPS M1210 is available worldwide with prices starting at $1,300.

The 24-inch 2407WFP has a wide-screen flat panel monitor, and features six-millisecond response time; 1,000:1 contrast ratio; integrated 9-in-2 media card slots; four USB 2.0 ports and connectors for s-video; and composite, component, and DVI (digital video interface) with HDCP (high-bandwidth digital copy protection). The 2407WFP incorporates ease-of-use features and enhancements by Dell for height adjustability, tilt and swivel, and easy display detachment for wall mounting. This model too is available world-wide at a starting price of $949.

Alex Gruzen, senior vice president, Dell Product Group, said, "The PC continues to be the engine that drives the personal entertainment experience, as more consumers see the value of expanding its use for gaming, photos, music, and videos. No one listens to customers better than Dell, and these XPS products exemplify product leadership for the digital lifestyle."

Further, Dell has signed an agreement with Skype, to bundle Skype software along with the XPS M2010 and XPS M1210 models.

According to the agreement, Dell will provide its customers easy access to Skype's VoIP software. Dell will pre-load Skype software on the XPS M2010 with the integrated Web cam. The XPS 1210 will be configured with Skype software, as part of an optional audio-video communications package.

Don Albert, business development director, Skype (North America), said, "Dell customers will be able to experience the benefits of Skype, optimized for their computing environment. This will give Dell customers a simple way to use the Internet to talk to their friends and family from home, in the office, or on-the-go."

In addition to these announcements, Dell has also introduced the re-vamped XPS 700 desktop that supports Nvidia Quad-SLI graphics, Ageia PhysX physics accelerators, and the latest Intel dual-core processors.

The re-designed model features an aluminium chassis that is inspired by jet engine and muscle car designs. Besides, do-it-yourself customers can purchase an exclusive kit containing the XPS 700 chassis, motherboard, memory, and processor. The new and improved XPS 700 is priced starting at $2,310, and is available worldwide.
