I had been talking to Fujitsu partners in Delhi for 4 months now & have been trying to arrnage demonstration for the product but no one cares. they always assure for prompt response & then they are lost. I don't think they are at all interested in selling to the end-customers here in India. No one can build trust unless u take care of marketing part.
Well I asked these guys to come for a demo and they were there the next day with two three models and allowed me to meddle up with it quite fairly. I am impressed, although I didnt purchase any laptops from them, even then they had offered for a demo of the new models which were not available at previous visit, they also invited me to visit their showroom in East of Kailash to see the models. Although the marketing of this co. is very slow as compared to other well established cos like IBM, HP and Sony but their products are really remarkable.
In Indian context it is better to go with companies like Dell, Compaq, perhaps Acer etc who have the volumes in Notebook computers ( IN INDIA ), without volumes U do not get service- buyer be aware when U buy- ask the manufacturer, how many laptops he sold in INDIA-last year- if it is less than 50k nos he probably will not have service infrastructure in place- and in laptops service requirement is several times more than in desktops, because of miniature parts!!!
