iRiver, best known for its MP3 players, has iRiver N12 in the pipeline to hit the racks.
All music lovers can look forward to another addition to the N series of MP3 players by iRiver. iRiver, best known for its MP3 players, has iRiver N12 in the pipeline to hit the racks.
The new entrant looks identical to the N11 and has integrated headphones like the N10. It has an OLED display. Capacities range from 1GB onwards. This player continues to support MP3, WMA, and PlaysForSure like the earlier models from the N series. It will cost around $209; regarding the availability of this product there isn't any notification from the company.
iRiver guys had a killer with H320/340. And for some inexplicable reason, they have discontinued the line. After searching for it a while, I decided to go in with Creative Zen - their new line of Zen Vision M. Their new line of players - H10 aren't doing so well. And the U series is horribly under-memoried ;). Their Flash based players run on batteries - the kind you replace (not rechargeable) and last but not the least - i heard (not validated) that their customer service is not so good. If they do bring back an H3xx equivalent - i might even pick up another player - just to own an iRiver. From an audiophile perspective - these players are absolute toppers. The next-gen of iRivers hopefully should iron out the woes above mentioned.
I fully agree with you on the points you mentioned above. I own a H140 and can vouch for its fantabulous sound quality. I feel Iriver should concentrate more on the HD based MP3 players and not solely on their flash based units only.
Agreed that customer service is not top of the line, but as an Iriver owner for the past 1 year, I have no issues as the player is still working like a charm! :) ..
Just to deviate a lil from the topic at hand .. it was also very thoughtful of Iriver to bundle a jacket alongwith the player . this has helped keep the player dust and scratch free which helps in extending its life. I know that jackets/skins are available in the market as well, but for a lazy guy like me (aren't we all!!) they either come bundled with the player or they don't come at all! :)
Spend $ 100 extra and you can get an iPod video 30 GB !!!! these irivers are just waste products...either go for Creative 30 GB VIDEO or iPod 5G Video.
It very nice all feature includes in that,
but for middle class it's not suitable, 209$
it's too costly, speacially indian buyer will think that 209$ convert to indian rupee it shows Rs. 9806 better buy only mp3 player only why we cannot purchase mobile
