Kingston Technology has expanded its existing line of Ultra Low Latency DDR modules, and introduced Low Latency DDR2 memory modules.
The latest introductions are as follows: KHX3200UL/1G with 1-GB 400-MHz DDR Non-ECC Ultra Low Latency CL2 (2-2-2-5-1) DIMM; KHX3200ULK2/2G with 2-GB 400-MHz DDR Non-ECC Ultra Low Latency CL2 (2-2-2-5-1) DIMM (Kit of 2); KHX6400D2LL/512 with 512-MB 800MHz DDR2 Non-ECC Low-Latency CL4 (4-4-4-12) DIMM; KHX6400D2LLK2/1G with 1-GB 800-MHz DDR2 Non-ECC Low-Latency CL4 (4-4-4-12) DIMM (Kit of 2); KHX6400D2LL/1G with 1-GB 800-MHz DDR2 Non-ECC Low-Latency CL4 (4-4-4-12) DIMM; and KHX6400D2LLK2/2G with 2-GB 800-MHz DDR2 Non-ECC Low-Latency CL4 (4-4-4-12) DIMM (Kit of 2).
While Kingston's HyperX 400 MHz (PC3200) CL2 DDR module specifications have been updated to support lower latency timings of 2-2-2-5-1 in 1-GB module and 2-GB kit memory configurations; the HyperX 800-MHz (PC6400) CL4 DDR2 module specifications have been updated to support 4-4-4-12 in 512-MB, 1-GB modules and 1-GB, 2-GB kit memory configurations.
Kingston says its HyperX modules are targeted at gaming and PC enthusiasts, and are the result of a careful selection of memory components assembled and thoroughly tested for ultimate performance. The low latency DDR2 modules are intended to enhance operational headroom for both current and future DDR2-based platforms.
Tawny Phan, sales director - APAC business division, Kingston, said, "The new DDR400 Ultra Low Latency HyperX with its 2-2-2 timings make it the ideal module for gamers wanting high density, low latency configurations in today's AMD based desktop systems. With the newest games on the market and high-end technology PCs arriving soon, 2-GB of HyperX memory will become the next must-have configuration for mainstream power users."
The Ultra Low Latency specifications are: 184-pin un-buffered DDR Modules; PC3200 400-MHz settings 2-2-2-5-1; 2.7V voltage; and tested for optimum performance on Asus P4C800-Deluxe, Abit NF7-S and DFI LanParty UT NF4 SLI-DR.
The Low Latency Specifications are: 240-pin un-buffered DDR2 Modules; PC2-6400 800-MHz settings 4-4-4-12-1; 2.0V voltage; and tested for optimum performance on Asus P5WDG2-WS and Asus P5WD2-Premium.
Kingston products are available across the country through its distributors; AA Infoways, Avnet India, Ingram Micro and Transtek Infoways.
