Airtel Genie Offers Live Cricket

Airtel has, as of yesterday, launched an innovative value-added service dubbed "Cricket Genie" that will enable Airtel subscribers watch international cricket matches live on their mobiles.
Through Cricket Genie, Airtel customers will get access to cricket news updates, statistics, highlights of the day, schedules of matches/series played across the globe, results of recently concluded matches, and other cricket trivia.
Speaking at the launch, Hemant Sachdev, director - marketing and communications, Bharti Tele Ventures, said that cricket has a fanatical following among all demographics and that Cricket Genie is a gift for a nation of cricket lovers. Sachdev said that the new service is a unique fun format that allows cricket lovers to follow the game ball-by-ball, even when they are away from the television or radio.
A GPRS-enabled handset is required to avail of the new service. Airtel subscribers can log on to live.airtelworld.com or airtellive.com on their GPRS-enabled phones, and click on the Cricket Genie link to access the service.
Until April 30, Cricket Genie is available for a subscription fee of just Rs 50 for all international matches. For all matches post this date, subscription needs to be renewed as per the options available at that time.
