McAfee Announces India Centre

McAfee has announced its McAfee India Centre, which would be focusing on engineering ownership of many products in India as also increasing headcount significantly. McAfee also announced the launch of unique support programs, giving its customers here the opportunity to provide inputs in developing cutting-edge global security solutions.
McAfee committed to an investment of over $80 million for the Centre over the next four years. McAfee's India Centre is the largest development center for McAfee around the world. The center will focus on research and development in terms of security solutions and product innovation, and will take ownership of some of the key security products it creates from requirements to customer releases.
Kartik Shahani, director - sales, McAfee India, said, "McAfee's India Centre has launched unique initiatives for its customers to provide inputs in developing global security solutions through our Joint Development Program. This level of focus and involvement of customers is unique in the market. We will be working closely with our customers to ensure we deliver customer-friendly and effective security solutions."
"The McAfee India Centre will also extend its support to the growth of McAfee in India, through new customer-focused initiatives. We were focusing on enterprise solutions till recently, but now we understand the potential of retail market in India and assure you that you will find more of retail happening from our end," Shahani said.
Additionally, McAfee's India Centre will provide its customers Global Labs Access and Remote Access Technology. McAfee's India Centre will assist customers here in deploying their new security solutions through its special Deployment Assistance Program.
Some new customer initiatives that will be led out of the Bangalore team include McAfee's Customer Care team - a dedicated outbound telesales function working on increasing McAfee's renewal retention rates. The Customer Information Management Team will also be based out of the McAfee India Centre, and it will ensure accuracy of customer data and order data.
