It is not only the HDD capacity (40/80GB, etc.) but also factors like buffer capacity, RPM, interface (IDE/EIDE,SATA, etc) that affect the price.
Siddhartha M

These are not the original prices of the products as listed but the M.R.P.s of the same as prineted on the boxes of the products. It is a kind request to mention that in the daily reviews otherwise it will disarray the clients who purchase products online. Products come at prices half the rate as displayed or lesser as displayed. Regards, Sudip Choudhuri. Wipro Technologies, Dell Floor, Kolkata. dc_sudip@yahoo.com dcsudip@gmail.com

Hi, There are two things that I would like to say to all of you!! 1. To ALL of US: Be thankful to TT and other such sites which give you detailed reviews, comments and advice on what to buy and what not to. Hell!! I have saved a lot of time and money by referring to articles at TT. To err is human so they say and so we should believe. 2. To the TT Team: Guys, we depend on you so much for the right tips and advice. You need to realize that many of us who do not have a clue about the latest trends actually look upto TT as a single source of reference. With the success that you have already experienced, the expectations from us members has also incresed. It is OK if you u come out with one sloppy piece, but, please be mindful that there could be hundreds of us who would go out and make a wrong purchase and even lose money. Think of a retalier who we would assume is selling duplicate or stolen goods just because his prices are nearly half of what TT says is the right price! Lets all be constructive and positive in the way we criticise and accept it. Looking forward to a nevr-ending stream of detailed, well-researched and quality checked articles from TT. A thankful reader.
