... And now technology lets you watch entire movies at the click of a mouse...

Entertainment company - Ultra has partnered with US-based WahIndia to bring to the table what can be called Gen-Next's way of watching a movie, giving the audience complete online control over the content being viewed.

Users can either opt for Pay-Per-View, or Download-To-Own wherein the entire movie can be downloaded to the user's hard disk for later viewing.

In effect, Ultra's portal - www.ultraindia.com will enjoy the distinction of being the country's first portal to offer movies on demand, besides being the world's first portal to feature Bollywood movies online.

The section called "Ultra Web Multiplex" on the portal will allow users to click and choose a movie of their choice, pay for it through secured payment channels, and either view the movie online or download it.

As of now, the Shabana Azmi starrer - Makdee, old Big B favourites - Parvarish and Namak Haram, the Sanjeev Kumar and Jaya Bachchan starrer - Naukar plus adult fare - Garam have been made available on Ultra's new service. Ultra intends to spruce-up its on-demand catalogue to 100-odd movies in future.

The service currently targets NRIs, expatriates, and across-the-border fans of Hindi and Indian cinema; and is available in countries other than India. Plans are in the pipeline to make the service available within the country.
