BenQ Unveils Siemens ME75

The phone features a VGA camera with photo and video functionality, a TFT color display, an organizer, instant messaging, email and polyphonic ring tones. Rubber elements ensure protection against spray water, dust and shocks.
Measuring 105 x 46 x 18 mm and weighing 95 grams, the ME75 from BenQ Mobile is being touted as the lightest and most compact mobile currently available on the market in the outdoor segment.
The ME75 has a standby time of 450 hours and a maximum talk time of 8 hours.
Ish Bawa, Marcom Manager, BenQ, said, " The ME75 was developed to deal with Indian outdoor conditions which are usually humid and dusty also keeping in mind the lifestyle of the youth which involves being continuously on the move through crowded areas. Incase the phone does accidentally fall its protected rubber shield the phone from any kind of breakdown."
The ME75 will be available from February 2006 in the color variations "Amazon Green" and "Atlas Grey", and has been priced at Rs 6990.
