Motorola A768i (Rs. 17,500)
This StarTAC-ish Smartphone from Motorola packs in a QVGA 320x240 pixel 262k color touch screen, a 206 MHz processor, a total of around 96mb memory, a CIF 352x288 digital camera and MP3 player. It runs Linux, has Bluetooth, Infrared and USB, but there's no card slot if you're looking to add some more memory...

Motorola A780 (Rs. 21,000)
An upgraded version of the earlier phone doesn't look very StarTAC-ish, but still retains the flip screen cover design. The processor is upgraded to 312MHz, there's around 48MB of internal memory, finally a TransFlash/microSD expansion slot, and a nice 1.3 megapixel digital camera! The rest of the features are pretty much the same: QVGA 320x240 pixel 262k color touch screen, quad band, MP3 player, Bluetooth, USB, but no Infrared.

Krome Intellekt IQ700 (Rs. 18,000)
The IQ700 is somewhat comparable to the myS-7, in that it also runs Windows Mobile and has a camera, miniSD card slot and a 65k color screen. But this one also integrates Bluetooth, that the Sagem myS-7 misses out on. I don't like the way this phone looks, compared to the myS-7, but hey.

What next? Smartphones Under 30k? Sure, why not! :-)
