We've done quite a few articles on tweaking and optimizing windows XP for a better overall performance. We've also delivered some nifty tools for you to get the most out of your operating system. And today we have yet another utility for windows XP users - XP SysPad. This we believe will prove to be more than handy for any user working on this operating system. Let's take a closer look at.
XP SysPad is a launcher which facilitates access to Windows system utilities in one simplified interface in a single click. All of the prime Windows system info and utilities such as the individual control panel applets, as well as the hidden applications in Windows, can be launched with the click of one button, which makes it easier than hunting around the Explorer pane or waiting for menus to fold out. Plus, you can easily access a host of other valuable functions, such as recovering the Windows XP product key, getting your IP address, executing web queries, identifying and killing any running process, launching any program, searching files and more. For convenience, it also can minimize itself to the system tray. It provides access to almost 200 functions in all!

On execution the application starts up with an interface that displays the currently active and running processes. This in short gives a quick glance of the processes as seen in the default Windows task manager. Over here you can change the process priority to low or high as per the applications needs or your preference.
On the topmost section of its interface, here are seven option tabs, each filled with various sub-options/shortcuts. The Admin tab provides quick access to functions such as group policy editor, SQL server utility, SAM lock tool, local users and groups, event viewer and many more. In other words, here you'll find most of the hidden security and advanced customization options which are not normally made visible through the regular Windows menu system. So to access these features, one need not have to browse through the deepest paths of the Windows installed directory.

The adjacent tab is the Control Panel. This Tab provides quick access to functions commonly used via the default control panel directory. Launching add or remove programs, changing mouse/keyboard properties, modifying system time/date, or loading user accounts modifier tool is made easily available in this tab at just a single click. A quick shortcut to open the control panel directory also comes provided along with.
