London, a land famous for the London Bridge, Big Ben, Ali G, Harry Potter, the Spice girls and... demons? (And no I don't mean Scary Spice). Yes it's true, in the near future, demons will freely roam London. No need to cancel your travel plans though, I'm merely talking about Hellgate London (HL), developer Flagship Studio's macabre vision of London in the not too distant future. Unlike conventional RPGs, HL is similar to Vampires: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (VTMB), an action RPG, played out from a first and third person perspective.
Demon Siege
Symbolically, demons have always existed among humans. Disguised as men and women, they continue to fool us with their human disguises as they plot against the entire race. Take a certain TV producer for example who looks perfectly human (well almost) but deep down is vile and hell bent on the destruction of humanity by assaulting it with grotesque, ghastly and horrifying shows. This isn't a conspiracy theory, its reality. Wake up and smell the grass.

It's the year 2032; demons have traversed through the Hellgate (which serves as a portal between their world and ours) and now infest London. It seems demons have always had a thing for London, but were foiled in their previous attempts, thanks to many noble races, one of which is the Templar (There will be other races in the game but nothing much has been divulged about them). Alas, the Templar got a tad sloppy and an entire race of demons managed to slip through the Hellgate.

Humans didn't stand a chance as weapons had no effect on them. If not for the Freemasons who built much of the London Underground with special materials and cleverly disguised runic symbols (which by the way were Demon-resistant), humanity would have ceased to exist. Now from the ruins, starts a resistance, a war...a battle to the end.
