Premium phone prices have come down quite a bit, and hence, lots of phones you never thought were possible to buy are now within your budget, along with some new entrants. The phones mentioned here are the popular options you have if you go out there with a budget of Rs 15,000, but you'll notice that some of them are a little higher as well. That's because if you are in the market for a mid-high level phone, you can afford to spend a grand more and get something with better features. Also, I'd like to remind you ladies and gentlemen that these prices are only approximate bill+warranty rates, and you can actually get it for less if you look in the right places!
Motorola RAZR V3 (Rs 13,500)
This famous premium phone is a mere 1.4cm thick (or thin) and weighs 95 grams. Sleek and sharp, but this thin phone needed a fat wallet! Sure, it was a status symbol, but a basic phone with a VGA camera, no MP3 player (but support for MP3 ringtones) and only around 5 MB of space to play around with, this phone was really bad value for money at around Rs 25-30k when it was first launched, even with the Bluetooth headset that was a standard box accessory. But now, the official price has come down to around 15k, and you'll get it for even lesser in the market.
