Kunhar ATX Cabinet with 400 Watts SMPS (Rs 2,100)
With that line up of power hungry components, it is good to have those extra Watts of power in hand. So we chose to go for a 400 Watts SMPS from PowerSafe (3-year warranty) along with a VIP professional cabinet. The total cost would range between Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,200 depending on the choice of cabinet.
Yes, availability might be an issue in certain cities but there is no quality player yet in that big gap between PowerSafe and Antec. Until a competitor comes along, I have no option but to recommend PowerSafe for its reliability and value.
Microsoft Internet Keyboard (Rs 500)
A sturdy and ergonomic keyboard is all you need for hours of action gaming. The Microsoft Internet keyboard is just that and also has additional 10 programmable keys for launching applications and doing certain tasks at just a key press. And more importantly, the keys layout is just the way it should be.
Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical (Rs 800)
Will I ever get tired of recommending this mouse? No. Not until this product is completely unavailable or there is something better in that price range. This is easily the best gaming optical mouse that you can get for under a grand. It is lightweight and ergonomic and with its highly sensitive optical sensor, you can bid farewell to tracking off (skipping). Note the name again - Wheel Mouse Optical and not Basic optical mouse.
Buy a modem and a floppy if you really need it. Not many do and hence I won't include them in this list. The LAN card is integrated into the motherboard.
