    Milestone Interactive has announced the release of 8 games from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) for the PSP.

Close on the heels of the PlayStation Portable (PSP) launch in the country, Milestone Interactive has announced the release of 8 games from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) for PSP.

The PSP which is priced at Rs 19,990, is an integrated portable entertainment system which offers games, communication, movies, music and wireless net-working.

Speaking on the occasion, Jayant Sharma, chairman & chief executive officer, milestone interactive, said, "We have always made pioneering efforts on various fronts in the Indian gaming industry. Our latest launch of PSP with eight new game titles will bring in excitement, thrill and adventure for the gaming enthusiasts of India."

"We are offering a complete mix of different genre of games, catering to specific tastes of the gaming community. Variety of games combined with a diverse choice of music and movie content on UMD, makes PSP a "must-have" portable entertainment device", said Sharma.

The games are structured to offer optimum enjoyment when combined with PSP technology. The PSP's Wireless LAN capabilities enable players to connect to the internet via a "WiFi hotspot" and play on-line across a wireless network.

The titles released include Ape Academy, Everybody's Golf, Fired Up, F1 Grand Prix, MediEvil: Resurrection, Ridge Racer, WipEout Pure and World Tour Soccer.

"Ape Academy" has 200 crazy monkeys in 50 madcap mini-games on the PSP, while "Everybody's Golf" is a mix of different characters, courses and challenging modes.

"Fired Up" packs punch with brutal weaponry, extreme vehicles and unlockable extras, "F1 Grand Prix" exhibits all the essential ingredients of the 2005 Formula One World Championship and "MediEvil: Resurrection" marks the return of the skeletal knight, 'Sir Dan Fortesque'.

"Ridge Racer" has 58 state-of-the-art cars, equipped with drift handling and the all-new Nitrous System, while "WipEout Pure" promises unbelievable navigation speeds on stunning new tracks, accompanied by a dynamic soundtrack. "World Tour Soccer" brings all the excitement of soccer to the small screen without compromising on the gaming experience.
