    Reliance Infocomm has launched a free new service that will host a RIM user's personal information and "health card" on R World.

Reliance Infocomm has launched a free new service titled "Emergency" that will host a Reliance IndiaMobile (RIM) user's personal information and "health card" on R World.

The service, which will be under the "Hot n New" menu of R World, will allow an RIM user to store his/her personal details such name, emergency contact phones and vital medical information such as blood group, diabetes details, blood pressure, allergies, and history using R World.

Anybody can access the owner's personal information by sending the keyword "ICE" (In Case of Emergency) as SMS message to 1234 from that phone.

Reliance Infocomm said the data of customers would be stored in a secure server at Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City. The information provided could be vital in saving the users' life in the case of an accident or some other emergency.

Mahesh Prasad, president, applications and solutions group, Reliance Infocomm, said, "Technology plays a major role in helping store and access a seemingly simple yet vital information about the phone owner's in case of an emergency. All one has to do to get this is send "ICE" on Reliance Mobile or click R World."

"One should at least save the word "ICE" in one's mobile phone address book and enter the phone numbers of the next of kin one would want to be contacted in case of an emergency," added Prasad.
