While recording a video, one can choose to compress the video directly in the codec of your choice as well as the audio. You can choose to save it in a particular size at a maximum of 30 fps and in the color format available on your PC. Image capture is also done in JPEG or BMP formats. The window also gives details of the captured video like the duration and free hard disk space, which is a tiny and useful function especially if you are running low on disk space.

Now come the interesting features like the Mosaic and Slideshow options and the zoom function. The Mosaic feature allows you to view many channels at one time, very useful if there are a couple of cricket matches being telecasted on different channels. Ideally, watching four channels would be easy on the eyes.

The zoom function is something interesting to look out for. With this feature, you can up-close into an object. Again very useful, especially if you think that David Shepherd is a thorn in the Indian batting line-up when giving those close bat-and-pad decisions. While zooming, the aspect ratio can be maintained, but the clarity might be a bit blurred.

There is also the Scheduler to help you record the Friends show or the F1 grand prix. It also gives you an option to shutdown the PC once the task is completed. The software lets you set keyboard and mouse shortcut keys for faster access.





One drawback with the software is the lack of support for all TV-Tuner cards. While trying to record, the software (standard edition) did not support the card and asked me to check if the same is available in the Professional edition. The software supports TV Cards with Philips BT8x8 chipsets, Philips SAA713x chipsets and TV Cards with Conexant CX2388x chipsets.

Conclusion
The overall functionality of the software is very impressive and offers much more than you can expect. With so much to offer, this may just be the ideal software for your tuner card for 30 days. In case you are ready to go in for the full-version it will cost you 25 USD. The Professional Edition is priced at 35 USD and gives you many more features.
