Other Features
The phone navigation is top notch and fast in just about every way. The menu system is just like the one in the Nokia 7250, only more enhanced and a bit faster.

The 6230 rules the roost when it comes to connectivity. It supports Infrared, Bluetooth connectivity without the installation of the Nokia PC Suite software, which is definitely a plus point. The phone can easily communicate and exchange files directly from your IR/Bluetooth supporting PDA, MP3 Player, Mac and PCs. The 6230 also supports GPRS and EDGE for Internet connectivity.

For messaging, the 6230 supports SMS, MMS and email. You can attach and send pictures, audio and even video files on your MMS messages. The message typing and ease of use is just about as good as it's been with Nokia handsets.

The applications include the standard mix of useful utilities and games. There's the ever-useful Calendar, To-do List, Remote Sync (SyncML), Notes, Wallet, Converter II, World Clock II, Calculator, Countdown Timer, and Stopwatch along with Nokia's latest addition - Translator. The translator may not necessarily make you learn a new language, but it does help translate the words you type into it to French, German, Spanish, and Italian. It's very nascent but a very useful application with a lot of scope.

One point that may turn a few people off is that just like the original N-Gage, you have to open the back case of this phone and remove the battery to change the MMC. For an N-Gage, I agree, it's a pain to go through that process since you constantly need to change MMCs to play different games, but here, it's not really such a big issue. Chances are, you may just buy a single large-sized MMC and use that for all your needs. Even if you don't, it's doubtful that you really need to keep changing cards on this phone. Besides, a card ejection system would have definitely added some unnecessary bulk to this little beauty.

The network reception of the phone was excellent even in areas where other Nokia phones have faltered. The voice clarity and reception is excellent by all means. The battery easily lasts for around 3-4 days of regular usage, including clicking photos and shooting videos.

Conclusion
If I ever came across a perfect cellphone, it has to be this one. It does just about everything that a good cellphone should do, and it does it really well. As I mentioned above, many people may not like the screen size on this one. All I can say to that now is that you have to use it to believe it.

Available at a street price of around Rs. 21,000, it's not such a bad deal considering the amount of things this phone can do, and its amazing size. It's hard not to recommend this phone to anyone, all I can say is - If you can afford it now, get it. Or just wait for a few months till the price goes down. I know I'm going to get one for myself.
