Belkin Corporation has unveiled its Parental Control Web Content Filter, which the company says is easy to set up and operate. An advanced Web filtering system, this blocks and filters offensive or unwanted Web pages using a database of more than 4 million sites.
Belkin's Parental Control allows parents to block objectionable Web sites for specific computers in the home. Unlike other content filter programs that block out Web sites that are individually selected, this control catches millions of sites by providing over 59 categories to choose from.
This program also allows the parents to customize the filtering for each family member, controlling access for younger children, while providing more freedom for adults. A monitoring option allows parents to view each person's Internet usage, with up-to-the-minute reporting capabilities.
At any time, a parent can easily override or revise the Parental Control settings through a private password. Service for the Parental Control is free for the first six months, and, after that, 19.99 USD per year.
