Electronic Arts (EA), in association with Game Masti has launched the latest version of EA Sports Cricket 2005 that will include the all-new fully licensed Twenty20 version tournament.

Christopher Thompson from Electronic Arts introduced the game, which includes in its current version, in addition to the international teams and bonus squads, domestic teams and competitions in England, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

"The game will revolve around a TV style presentation including a full action replay mode, third umpire, animated ducks, TV style overlays, field position editor and much more. The field position editor will allow for auto or manual fielding in over 35 dynamically lit stadiums modeled from all over the world, including Lords in England, Eden Gardens in Calcutta, Melbourne, Auckland, Cape Town, Barbados and Lahore", said Thompson.

Sanjay Wadhwa, Director of Game Masti, which will market the game in India said, "Another key feature of this game is that it has full licenses from various cricket boards like Cricket Australia, ECB, NZ Cricket and South African Cricket. There will be updated commentary from legendary commentators like Richie Benaud and Jim Maxwell and the game is available for 4 players, (consoles), with 2 player co-operative play. Besides, there have been tremendous technological advances compared to the earlier version, using the FIFA engine and animation tools resulting in super smooth game play making it the most authentic cricket game yet."

The product is available at retail stores all over the country.
