To celebrate the company's achievement in covering twenty-three circles across India the company has announced a reduction in roaming rates to Rs 1.99. I heard that the airtel is going to reduce the charges from Jan 1st 2006 and planning to make all India local.Anywhere in India it charges local call.Is it true?
I m pune division airtel prepaid customer. Now I m in faridabad(hariyana state) so how much roaming charges i will be getting here? my cell no. is 9890581957
I don't think Hutch had cut down the entire roaming in charges like Airtel, but has a tie-up with BPL and roaming in TN is free wherever BPL is established!
In times Of india it was mentioned that AirTel has reduced its Roaming tariff to Rs 3.99 From existing 5.15... so kindly checkout with company regarding the tarrif..
What you said is right.. They charge Rs4/- for roaming, but said Rs1.99/- in company's site "http://www.bhartiteleventures.com/news&events/april2005/26apr.htm".. We already know AIRTEL as a GREEDY service provider... Now only we came to know that they are CHEATERS too... I am going to surrender my Airtel number 9894307173(I am their customer for 26 months). Airtel is now worst and not much in different from RELIANCE. I will go for BSNL.
AirTel has forwarded(read- sold) their data base to banks and insurance companies who keep on calling the users. AirTel should provide concessions to clients for getting inconvinienced by such calls.
They have reduced Call Forwarding Charge 1.99 from 2.99. Other Charges like STD etc remains ther... that means approximately they will charge Rs. 4-Rs.5 for incoming/outgoing...!
I found these words on Airtel's News website =="" and it is "The roaming rates have been reduced to Rs. 1.99 for all Airtel mobile customers, across the country. The new roaming tariffs come into effect from 1st May. Now all Airtel customers will be able to enjoy the benefits of roaming the true power of GSM at highly affordable roaming charges."
They are charging Rs5.15 for incoming calls till today(s.tax extra). If what you are saying is true, (Rs4/- for roaming incoming) then AIRTEL will surely ruin for sure...
RIM charges less for roaming, but they CHEATS well... I have not gone to Hyderabad for last 10 years, but they charged me for roaming in Hyderabad... My number was 04562-311161(at that time). They even charged me for R-Connect (upto 1 hour of usage) even though I have not applied for that and I dont have that cable(Nokia 2280). I think techtree men are hiding the CHEATINGS of RELIANCE, as my comments typed by me in yesterday (same above words) was not found now... Though I have viewed my comments after typing... I think they may even cut this comment I am typing again...
