Nokia Hosts Sky Party In Lumia-Hued Aircraft

The event was graced by Lumia contest winners, high-end smartphones, and entry-level celebrities.

As a part of its Amazing Everyday Campaign, Nokia hosted an unusual mid-air party for winners of the Spot the Lumia contest. The company had branded the entire aircraft in Lumia colours. The flight lasted for almost an hour, allowing winners to get a glimpse of some budget celebrities.

The Nokia Lumia aircraft was actually a Jet Airways plane. For the technically inclined, it was a Boing 737-800, powered by the CFM56 series twin engines. The journey went smooth, except for the security check, where guards were puzzled to see Mumbai in both the departure and arrival fields of the boarding pass.

Thanks to the press release, I could identify the stars onboard as, Tisca Chopra, Rajat Barmecha, Manasvi Mamgain, Meiyang Chang, and Gurpreet Bedi. However, it was Papa CJ, who made things interesting with his finely timed humour. He made some crazy announcements through the in-flight radio, and even the pilots weren't spared from his onslaught of jokes.

I think it was an innovating way of promoting a product, and thanks to CJ we had a great time when in mid-air. Finally, it was all about the Lumia 800, which we already reviewed a week ago.
