Claims to be the thinnest Ultrabook in the market.
ASUS has launched the ZENBOOK, an ultra-portable notebook with a stylish design and a minimalistic form factor. Available in 11.6" and 13.3" varieties, the ZENBOOK UX31 is just 0.11" thick at the front and 0.67" at the rear, thus allowing the company to claim it being the thinnest Ultrabook in the market. The ultra-portable form factor allows it to be easily carried anywhere.
Powered by Intel's 2nd generation Core processors, this notebook packs in tremendous processing power. It comes with state-of-the-art features such as USB 3.0, SATA 3.0 SSD with 256 GB of storage, and Bluetooth v4.0. It also features USB Charger+ technology to charge portable devices in a fraction of the time it would normally take. The company claims to achieve better cooling using custom designed cooling technology. The notebook also claims to have 25% more battery life than its competitors, using proprietary Super Hybrid Engine II technology. Additionally, it comes with SonicMaster technology developed by ASUS Golden Ear team and Olufsen ICEpower, to provide better audio performance.
The 13.3" version of the ZENBOOK UX31 with an Intel Core i7 processor and 4 GB RAM is available at a rather steep MRP of Rs 90,000, which will surely put off a lot of prospective buyers.
