Runs on the latest Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
The wait is over and the combined forces of Samsung and Google have finally announced their latest offering, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Currently, it's the only device in the Android kingdom to run the new version of Android OS - Ice Cream Sandwich.
The phone sports a 1.2 GHz CPU and 1 GB RAM. Its 4.65" sAMOLED screen has pixel dimensions of 1280x720. According to the company, the display is slightly curved. The 5 MP camera is capable of recording video in 1080p. Other specs include a 1.3 MP front camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 3.0, microSD card slot, 3.5 mm jack, 1750 mAh battery, and LTE support, depending on the region. The device measures 5.3" (l) x 2.7" (w) x 0.3" (d), and weighs 135 grammes. Additionally, it's going to be the first Android phone to ditch hardware navigation buttons in favour of onscreen ones.
The device will be available in 16 and 32 GB versions, and is expected hit Asian markets in the month of November.
I don't understand why people need to add extra memory afetr 32 GB ?? it's your phone buddy... not a portable hard drive to stash your junk.
Seriously! Do why do you need more than 32GB of memory so bad that the paing of not havin it is killing you ???
Its not about your phone being an HDD. The SDCard slot should serve to store all your personal data like captured images, songs, etc, etc.... and the internal onboard memory should be used for application installation purpose...Many application won't work properly if installed on card. The biggest advantage of having expandable that I learnt recently is that when your phone malfunctions and won't start at all, the best thing would be just remove your sdcard and retrieve all your important files. My Galaxy S2 suddenly failed to start with all my rare pics, songs etc was on internal memory. Now there is no chance that I can retrieve that back... :(
^^I wish that was true,but..
"Oddly enough, we're being told by Samsung that two models will be available in terms of capacity -- a 16 gigger and a 32GB sibling -- but neither will have a microSD slot for adding your own expansion."

Also,if you remember, even the nexus s didnt have an sd slot when it came out,its purposefully done on samsung's part i think so as not to make the s2 entirely obsolete the same way they did it for the original galaxy
There isnt any expandable memory on the nexus prime. It will come in 16/32Gb variants(internal memory). It kills me when they leave something or the other out every time, all we get is a near perfect phone. They included a barometer but not an SD slot,it just plain kills me.
