Canon has announced the launch of three new digital cameras with high definition capture support. The PowerShot SX 150 IS, IXUS 1100 HS, and IXUS 230 HS also boast of a new Intelligent Image Stabilization (IS) technology, which adapts to the shooting situation and deploys from amongst seven possible settings to ensure blur-free photos and videos.
The IXUS 1100 HS is the world's slimmest camera with 12x optical zoom, 12.1 MP image sensor, and a 3.4" wide touchscreen LCD, featuring the HS system for enhanced low-light performance and high speed photography. The IXUS 230 HS is a 12.1 MP stylish compact point and shoot camera with a slim body, 8x optical zoom, and the capability to shoot Full HD (1080p) movies. Canon also introduced the mainstream 14.1 MP super zoom PowerShot SX150 IS, sporting a 12x optical zoom with a 28 mm wide angle lens.
Professionals have not been left in the lurch, because Canon has launched a new kit for the EOS 1100D. This is a double zoom kit, which includes EOS 1100D body, along with a 18-55 mm IS, and a 55-250 mm IS zoom lens. The kit covers 35 mm equivalent of approximate 28-400 mm, thus providing a shooting range from close-up to a very long distance telephoto.
